I think that we had a low experienced raid on LK, and many of them had no knowledge of the mechanics and i doubt there was any research for information about the fight.
To me as a RL it was the last time i will explain the mechanics of a fight so many times in a row and still see a messy and undeserved kill ( i dont mind if you are unsure about a mechanic and ask, but i do mind if you dont ask and fail that many times), if i see no progress ill stop the raid.

ReplyDeletePeople need to learn to prepare for raids! It's not about being in a cool guild, with cool people... Prepare yourselves for raid and earn your status, ranks and respect among guild members.
We can proudly say that we have 11/12 ICC HM but we didn't achieve that by slacking and not knowing tactics. We intend and will have 10 man raids / raid achievements broken down during this transition phase before cata and during cata.
Hope you guildies understand the importance of this guild's purpose and try to keep up with those who are trying to bring us up top!

ReplyDeleteYes it was messy, yes there were people unprepared, yes there were people prepared who still failed too, but honestly, i didn't see no leading in the raid. No checking on people actually being flasked, no break, no talk on mumble.
To you as raid leader you should prepare yourself too so you can do what you're assigned to do.
As for the future I'm really enjoying raiding with you guys since we can argue and stuff in portuguese. That's like a 200% boost on my raiding xp. I'm in for any type of fun.
Chill and post some wlogs instead.

Mate this blog is exaclly for this! Argue about the raids, discuss tactics (if needed), chill out chat, you name it! As for my concern, when I'm there, I try to keep everybody informed about their raid status (flasks, feasts, buffs,...). I don't want to see people making the same exact mistakes on the 57th tactics explanation also. Isac is the most organized, capable and furious :) RL i know, so don't doubt his capabilities.

ReplyDeleteThere are people which were already KS and still died in the other side of the room, not only unprepared newcomers. I'm actually one and I got the tactics pretty clear from the start.

Ofc ppl getting nuked by spirits like 3 times at 2 a.m. is a raid killer but we got to go through p1 perfectly at the end with the plague controled.
Look at the bright side and correct stuff which is not good. LK is getting obsolete in 3 weeks, let him take a vacation ;)

ReplyDeleteI wasnt checking it because we didnt need it, we dont need a 60+ AP or SP buff when you outgear the content, do you noticed any low dps? Or tanks and healers were badly geared? No!! We failed on the tatics.
Xgamer asked more then once hug star, and still some ppl fail on that. I tried to explain phase 3, when i saw so many fails on it. And it was just a run around the set, no one cared. What happened more 3 fails at phase 3.
Dont you thik we should discuss this, or just because we killed its ok?
Food and flasks are still important since they transmit commitment from someone, which can be translated into focus and stability.

Anyways, we will have time to qq a lot in cata since we shall spend many evenings wiping at stuff and don't come up with a kill.

If it's needed, we will explain every step of every boss, of every 10 man raid if we have to, so the new people understand it! (As I expect of any Awaken member) Just show me some progress and don't do same mistakes over and over... because it makes anyone impatient.
In Hard Modes I expect everyone to be clear about the normal mode tactics (that was not the case)

At all the try's i was well feed and flasked, i have my own food. I dont need a fish feast and im against it as it only suports slacking.
ReplyDeleteI shouldnt be the one saying when flasks are up or to give food, everyone should farm it and pay attention to that, that shows commitment not 1 guy caring for everyone thats getting carried.
The deal here isnt the wipes we've had worse days that felt better and not even close to frustating as last night.
Its the way it all happened, even with all the warnings, me and xgamer were shouting every bad stuff that could happen infest, valkyr, defile, run, spread, hug and still there were fails not once or twice just too many times.
All i want is for everyone to understand from todays post is "be independent", you shouldnt have to w8 to hear a call from someone saying some bad shit is appering you should see it youself.
I'm also not saying im the best RL, for the matter im the worst you could get stuck with, no patience and low enrage timer but i do my best.

ReplyDeleteI can accept people failing. I can accept people being unexperienced. But I can't accept people who pretend to be experienced, and I can't accept continuous fails on the same mechanics over and over.
I don't know a thing about the raid last night, cause I wasn't there. What I can say is that the last 4 times we went to the Lich King on normal, we killed him on 1 shot or 2. That's why I believed we were ready to progress on hard mode. But apatently, some people can't seem to follow instructions.
Regarding Isac as RL, it's true that he may sometimes lack in dialog on mumble, but I did listen to him and Xgamer repeatedly saying stuff like "hug the star" or "run to the corner".
Get this on your head. RAID LEADERS ARE NOT BABYSITTERS. We can't be telling you what to do everytime. We can explain tactics, but after that, you can only count on yourself and your skill.
I mean, from what I heard last night, if one of the enrages went unanounced, the off-tank would die, so what the hell? That's so easy to spot, especially since you don't need any crazy dps on phase one. Turn off the freaking recount, and play through the mechanics as best as you can, forget dps, be a tactitian kind of player.
Well, besides the officers, I'm the only one who comments on the blog afaik.
ReplyDeleteAs for the fights I told you in the beginning 2 weeks ago, that I didnt have xp either on sindra or lk. I learnt those fast and didnt do one mistake at all yesterday or sindra after the 1st night hm.
I'm really sorry that all this shit as been lifted and those who failed wont read this at all. I've had 2 years of this in Guildless with every patch and there's no point to it.
Personally, i took the wipes from yesterday to perfect my mana pool management during the fight so I wouldnt go close to oom, since I facerolled positions after 1st explanation from RL.
well, guess what lupi. People who don't read the blog will get some surprises in the future. By the way, we thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, we'd love that all the guildies would do the same, and we're not, in any way, directing our critics to your way of playing WoW.

ReplyDeleteWell guys, i don't know if some of those crtics where for me, but anyway i have to say for myself that i'm really trying to follow everything.
The things i failed at were probably first runs for me. When i did with u the 11/12 heroic was the first time i ran blood quarter, sindra and putricide. This LK raid, it was first time there besides once going hardmode. it's still a kind of a lot to get in fast, but i think i'm progressing a lot.
